Before your first treatment

Together we carry out a detailed skin analysis and take your history. We look at your skin and talk about pre-existing conditions, medication, allergies and previous cosmetic treatments.

Before we begin, you receive all the important information about the planned treatment. The information and your consent are documented and confirmed with your signature on site – not as a formality, but so that we both know what we have agreed on.

Information under the NiSV

For applications covered by the German “Ordinance on Protection against the Harmful Effects of Non-Ionising Radiation in Applications on Humans” (NiSV) – for example certain radiofrequency and ultrasound treatments – you receive information in advance. It covers:

• the effects and possible risks of the device used
• the exact course of the treatment
• possible contraindications, i.e. reasons that speak against the treatment
• alternative treatment options

You receive this information before the respective treatment begins. Depending on the application, an appropriate time for reflection may be provided – so you don't have to decide in the same appointment. For the relevant applications I hold the expertise required under the NiSV.

Please let me know beforehand

Some things are clarified faster if you mention them when booking. In the consultation I ask about, among other things:

• pregnancy or breastfeeding
• pacemakers, metal implants or other electronic implants
• acute skin conditions, inflammation or open wounds in the treatment area
• medication that makes the skin sensitive to light
• recent medical or cosmetic procedures in the same area

This list is not exhaustive – we will clarify in conversation which treatment is right for you. If something doesn't fit, I'll say so and suggest an alternative.

What cosmetic treatments can do – and what they can't

All treatments offered serve exclusively cosmetic care, improving the appearance of the skin and personal well-being. They do not replace an examination, diagnosis or treatment by a doctor or alternative practitioner.

The treatments are non-invasive. Results vary depending on the skin, the starting point and individual circumstances. No promise of a cure is made – and you won't find exaggerated promises here either.
